
The Hebron district is plagued by a structural lack of water availability due to a lack of adequate primary water resources in the area from which water can be freely accessed. In this region, water is supplied primarily through tankers, and thus a key factor in water price determination becomes transport costs.

The project realized the construction of cisterns and improved the water network. The population of the Hebron district benefitd from water quality monitoring campaigns.

This project involved the boys, girls, parents, educational authorities, and communities of the Antabamba and Juan Espinoza Medrano districts in the Antabamba province, and those in the Chalhuanca and Caraybamba districts in the province of Aymeraes.

Thanks to the projetc, the provincial headquarters of the Hermanos Saíz association, which unites young artists in Havana, and other main cultural stakeholders benefited from a methodology of action based on art as a vector for local development in the most vulnerable neighborhoods.

The project concerned 420 families (400 for agricultural activities and 20 for herding activities), 1,300 children, 80 local promoters to follow the agricultural and nutritional aspect, 40 local promoters to follow hygiene, and 20 local planners (following agricultural, territorial, and sanitary aspects). Village families were involved in awareness campaigns related to good water resource management.

The project targeted the poorest family members in participating rural areas (with particular attention to large families), farmers without land to cultivate, grassroots agricultural associations, local authorities, and the DEA (Department of Agricultural Extension).

The project aimed to the farmers living in the Siem Reap province and to their families, guaranteeing their Zero hunger security thanks to the distribution of seeds and improving of agricultura inputs.
