Hunger is not just a lack of food: it is a lack of rights, resources and opportunities.

That is why we work every day to combat the global hunger crisis and to ensure that the most vulnerable communities can feed themselves in a stable, safe and dignified way.

Our interventions combine immediate aid with lasting solutions: we respond to emergencies by providing food assistance, but at the same time we support agricultural production, training and economic autonomy, so that people can build a solid foundation for their future.

How we work

We support families through cash transfers for the purchase of food, a form of aid that restores dignity and freedom of choice, allowing them to buy food in local markets and thus also supporting the local economy.

We distribute agricultural and livestock kits, with seeds, tools and small animals, to revive food production and improve family nutrition.

We also offer vocational training and technical support, helping people to develop new income-generating activities and strengthen their economic independence.

Our activities include the distribution of thousands of agricultural kits and support for thousands of people in training and work inclusion programmes.

In Palestine, for example, we have installed an irrigation system that uses treated wastewater, improving agricultural production in areas subject to water scarcity. This intervention has enabled entire families to resume farming and rely on safe and sustainable food resources. In Afghanistan, we have also supported rural communities in the province of Herat, particularly female-headed households affected by food insecurity, with an integrated intervention combining cash assistance, vocational training and infrastructure interventions.

Ensuring food security means much more than distributing food: it means giving people the tools to choose, produce and live with dignity.

All our interventions stem from the belief that no one should depend on aid but can become the protagonist of their own growth and that of their community.
