Afghanistan
From 2002 to 2017, we supported the most vulnerable and marginalised groups in a country marked by decades of armed conflict, political and socio-economic instability and recurring extreme weather events. After the Taliban returned to power, we resumed our activities in 2021 to ensure support for rural communities, particularly female heads of households and their children, at a dramatic time in terms of respect for human rights and access to basic needs. We also intervened following the devastating earthquakes of 2023 and 2025 in the east and west of the country, supporting the most affected communities.

In Thailandia, dal 2018 sosteniamo i diritti delle persone migranti - spesso provenienti dalla Cambogiain cerca di un lavo
Since 2009 in Cambodia, thanks to our Long Distance Sponsorship programme, we have been committed to ensuring quality education, reducing school dropout rates and strengthening child protection systems. We are also active in the country with programmes supporting the rights of male and female workers, through vocational training and career guidance for young people, human rights protection campaigns and the promotion of gender equality.
In Thailand, since 2018, we have been supporting the rights of migrants - often from Cambodiain search of work - by running campaigns to protect their rights and providing legal and health assistance.
