With the Frequenza 200 programme, we promote inclusive education that ensures every child has the right to grow, learn, and shape their own future, regardless of their background.

Since 2014, we have been present in the most vulnerable neighbourhoods of Rome (San Basilio), Aversa, Milan (Barona), Catania (San Cristoforo), Cagliari (Sant'Elia) and Ventimiglia, where we tackle educational poverty and early school leaving on a daily basis.

In our educational centres, open five days a week, we offer academic support, individual psycho-educational guidance and workshops that stimulate creativity, well-being and the development of transferable skills. The spaces are designed to be welcoming and open: places where young people can find a listening ear and recognition.

The project has a two-pronged approach: on the one hand, it strengthens the role of the educational community – schools, families, services, associations – in responding to the needs of vulnerable young people; on the other, it offers extracurricular spaces and activities, inspired by Global Citizenship Education methodologies, where children and young people can find a listening ear, support and new opportunities to grow, discover their abilities and build meaningful relationships.

At WeWorld, we aim to develop in young people the ability to critically understand reality, recognise social injustices and imagine possible alternatives. We do not limit ourselves to imparting knowledge but adopt a transformative pedagogy capable of changing the way children think, feel and act in the world, promoting personal, collective and systemic change.

An approach, therefore, where children and young people become protagonists and co-constructors of their own learning and collective future.

Summer camps

During summer, the centres become spaces for play, sport, and discovery through camps and outdoor activities that foster socialisation and independence. For many children, these camps are their first real experience away from home.

The Frequenza 200 centres also host many activities from our Summer Plan: free and accessible initiatives such as trips to the swimming pool, cinema or museum, artistic and creative workshops, sports in parks and a few days' holiday designed for those who cannot afford expensive summer camps.

We involve the entire educational community

The programme is not only aimed at children, but also at the educational community: we support families through listening and educational counselling services, we work alongside teaching staff with educational coaching activities and civic and global citizenship workshops, and we collaborate with local networks to prevent school dropouts and build real opportunities for growth together.

Through all these activities, Frequenza 200 transforms educational care into collective action for systemic change in educational contexts.

Today more than ever, the project needs to continue, because too many adolescents are still at risk of being marginalised. With your help, we can guarantee them the right to education, dignity and a better future. Every gesture counts. Every donation is one more opportunity.
