We protect the childhood of the girl child

Unfortunately, even today there are great disparities between men and women in the world, which have been evident since childhood and continue into adult life.
In many countries, girls are considered an economic burden on the family, which often sees early marriage as the only way to feed its children.

Benin, Kenya, Tanzania are among the countries where early marriage is widespread. There are 650 million girls in the world who have married before reaching the age of 18. Girls who were forced to give up their studies, who were prevented from building a future to become the woman they wanted to be.

School itself is the most effective tool for combating the phenomenon of child brides. At school, girls can study, build independent and dignified lives, receive medical care, and find a safe place to engage and pursue their dreams.

literate and educated girls are more aware of their rights, they have a greater chance as adults to emancipate themselves socially and economically. Girls who go to school are at lower risk of becoming mothers early, putting their health and that of their unborn child at risk, or of entering into labor or even sexual exploitation networks. Pregnancies and deliveries are the leading cause of death of girls between the ages of 15 and 19, and infant death is highly likely in 50% of cases.

Together with you, we want to continue to fight against school dropout and ensure that school is a safe environment in which to receive quality education and that it serves to identify cases of early marriage. We provide medical and legal assistance to abused girls so as not to leave them alone.
We organize meetings on the issue of forced marriages with girls and parents, describing the serious consequences for young girls: we explain that marrying is illegal and that therefore families face serious criminal sanctions, but above all that marriage has very serious consequences on the health and lives of their daughters.

Thank you so much for what you do for them!
