TOGETHER, FOR A FAIRER WORLD

For 50 years in 26 countries with a single big goal: to bring to the center who is on the margins. A commitment that we carry forward thanks to the contribution of those who, like you, share our own ideals.

Our mission

We stand by those who are on the geographical, economic or social margins, to overcome inequality together and build a more equitable and respectful future for the dignity and diversity of people and the environment. We support people and communities with humanitarian assistance in contexts of crisis and support pathways of self-determination and development to contribute to structural change and generate opportunities for all people.

Our vision

We want a better world where everyone, especially children and women, has equal opportunities and rights, access to resources, health, education and worthy work. A world in which the environment is a respected and defended common good; in which war, violence and exploitation are banned. A world, a land of all, in which no one is excluded.

Our History

WeWorld-GVC - in short WeWorld - was born from the union of two non-governmental organizations: WeWorld (founded in Milan in 1999) and GVC, established in Bologna in 1971. Together we work to ensure that the fundamental rights of every human being, especially women, girls and children and environmental rights are recognized, respected and shared.

This is why we are fighting against conditions of poverty, violence and injustice, promoting sustainable human development paths while respecting the environment. Each of our initiatives or projects is conceived, planned and managed both with the commitment of over 1600 professionals and volunteers, and with different territorial actors (social forces, local institutions and administrations, individuals and communities).

And it is precisely from the community that we start and promote participation, in a dialogue between the bearers of rights and those who are responsible for ensuring their respect, to identify endogenous and resilient responses.
