In accordance with Article 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 – the Personal data protection code (the Code) – WE WORLD ONLUS (We World), based at Via Serio 6, Milan, Italy, as data controller, is obliged to give you the following information about how your personal data is processed.
How your data is processed
1. How we obtain your personal data
You provide your personal data directly at the We World office and/or through the website www.weworld.it and/or whenever you support the initiatives, projects and activities promoted and run by We World.
2. Why we process your personal data
We collect and process your personal data for the following purposes:
to fulfil obligations concerning support for the initiatives, activities and projects promoted and carried out by We World;
to involve you in initiatives and activities to raise awareness of and to publicise and promote We World’s new projects;
to fulfil administrative and accounting obligations; and
to fulfil obligations concerning cultural, awareness-raising and information initiatives about the rights and the development of people in developing countries, including the use of operational, strategic and statistical marketing tools, e.g. to monitor supporter satisfaction.
3. How we process your personal data
We World would like to inform you that:
* For the above purposes, we shall process your data according to the principles in Article 11 of the Code;
* We shall process your data using manual, computerised, telematic, audiovisual, telephonic and other tools (including automated calling systems, email, fax, MMS or SMS), via cable or via satellite, on magnetic or paper-based media, and we shall comply with the confidentiality and security rules set out by law;
* If we stop processing your data in a certain way, for whatever reason, we shall destroy it or pass it on under Article 16 of the Code;
* When you provide your data, you have the rights under Article 7 of the Code, the text of which is copied here below for your convenience. It sets out the rights that you can exercise about your personal data and that you can and must be able to use freely under Article 8 of the Code, which states how you can exercise those rights.
4. Providing your personal data
You are not obliged to provide your personal data. But you cannot support We World’s initiatives unless you give us the data we need for purposes concerning support for the initiatives, activities and projects promoted and run by We World, concerning involvement in We World’s initiatives and activities to raise awareness of, publicise and promote We World’s new projects, and concerning various administrative and accounting obligations, as in points 2a), 2b) and 2c). If you withdraw your consent for or object to our processing your personal data, you will then immediately be unable to support We World’s initiatives any further.
If you do not provide your data for the other purposes stated in point 2d), the only effect will be to prevent you from receiving information about any cultural, awareness-raising and information initiatives about the rights and development of people in developing countries, including through operational, strategic and statistical marketing tools, e.g. to monitor supporter satisfaction.
5. Disclosing your personal data to third parties
When carrying out our activities and our cultural, social, promotional, advertising, marketing, merchandising, sponsoring and information initiatives, We World, as data controller, may disclose your personal data to the following types of third party: a) mailing companies, b) shipping companies, c) couriers, d) companies providing general enveloping, mailing and transport of correspondence, and e) all consultants authorised by We World. We would do so with your permission and exclusively for the purposes stated in point 2d), to which you have agreed, according to the Code. We shall not circulate your data in any circumstances.

The interested party has the right to be told: a) where their personal data came from; b) the uses to which this data is to be put and the means for doing so; c) how electronic devices are involved in processing the data; d) the particulars of the data controller, the data supervisors and the designated representative under Article 5(2); e) the parties or types of party to which their personal data may be disclosed or to whose attention it may come as a designated representative within Italian territory, managers or appointed operatives. 3. The interested party has the right: a) to have the data updated, corrected or, when in their interest, added to; b) to have data deleted, anonymised or frozen if processed illegally, including data that does not need to be kept for the purposes for which the data was collected or subsequently processed; c) to obtain formal confirmation that the parties to which the data has been disclosed or notified have been informed of the operations under points a) and b), including as to their content, except where this would be impossible or would entail a clearly disproportionate effort relative to the protected right. 4.
