In the heart of many of Narok’s rural villages, where, too often, children stood on the brink of giving up on education, the “Pamoja Tudumishe Elimu” project is rewriting this story. With the main goal of promoting quality, inclusive education, the project implemented by We World, in partnership with Education Above All Foundation’s Educate A Child program, and support from the Qatar Fund for Development, has introduced a powerful tool: tutorial programs that breathe new confidence into learners at risk of dropping out!

For the past two years, 81 dedicated teachers across 18 target schools have been champions of this mission. Each teacher mentors 25 learners who are most at risk of falling behind, following them closely and offering personalized support. Once a week, classrooms come alive as teachers guide children through Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, and Science subjects that once seemed like immovable obstacles are now stepping stones to success.
The transformation is remarkable. At Sintakara Primary School, Rhoda Kapunet shines as a beacon of hope.
Rhoda’s journey mirrors that of many other students too. Laughter, confidence, and the courage to dream have thankfully replaced silence and hesitation. The tutorial program has not only helped improve academic performance, but has also created a supportive and inclusive learning environment where no child feels left behind.
Through Pamoja Tudumishe Elimu, learners like Rhoda are catching up with their peers academically and showing that with the right support, quality education can be the key that unlocks every child’s potential.
