Burkina Faso is one of the poorest countries in the world (according to the HDI: 183/189 countries) and the economic weakness limits the room for improvement. We have been working in the country for over 15 years and since 2012 we promote programs to battle child malnutrition, supporting children and their mothers.

With this project we intend to assist the most vulnerable families, pregnant women and / or nursing and 0-59 months old children at risk of malnutrition. The methodology, the so-called "1000 day" approach, includes 3 steps: 1) to reduce survival deficits through the distribution of vouchers to 18,842 families identified; 2) to imporve the nutritional situation for 12,846 children at risk of malnutrition through the distribution of fortified flour, the dépistage (identification), awareness-raising and education initiatives; 3) to support institutions in the implementation of welfare policies shared by the state and the major funders of cooperation and development programs in the country.
