The continued Syrian conflict has greatly weakened the Syrian educational system. Nowadays 5.6 million of people between students and education staff need support. It is estimated that the economic loss in the educational sector amounts to 10.6 billion SYP and it is mainly due to the ongoing school leaving (both in the elementary and in secondary school).
