The project has the objective to promote the implementation of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development (NSSD) through actions that intend to contribute to the promotion of a culture for sustainability (CS), a fundamental vector to transform the current development model, as well as the dissemination of knowledge, lifestyles, virtuous models of sustainable production and consumption.
The first step in achieving this objective is disseminate knowledge of the interconnection between dimensions that impact on social, economic and environmental sustainability in local and global production systems and their consequences. On this topic, national, European and global studies and surveys will be produced to raise young people's awareness of more sustainable development models, which will be diffused to more than 130 classes including secondary and high schools and six universities in different Italian regions - thanks to the national educational competition “Exponi le tue idee!” - and within the framework of the two festivals organised by WeWorld: the WeWorld Festival and the Terra di Tutti Film Festival.
Finally, the aim of the project will be to strengthen dialogue and collaboration between the various actors active in the territory for the promotion of sustainable development. To this end, capacity building actions will be encouraged for the Local Authorities of the Emilia-Romagna region, as well as a national multi-stakeholders conference useful for the sharing of good practices on development policies.
The project includes the following activities:
- Awareness-raising at schools and universities in the framework of Exponi le tue idee! Exponi le tue idee! is a debate-based educational competition that develops in students the ability to research, to work in a team, to improve their dialectical skills and to deepen their understanding of the proposed topics.
- Publication and dissemination of a research on labour exploitation in the agri-food chain in Tuscany. Publication of a report on labour exploitation and human rights in the agrifood supply chain in Tuscany with the aim of promoting greater awareness on illegal recruitment, illegal intermediation and exploitation.
- WeWorld Festival 2023. And Terra di Tutti Film Festival 2023.
