It has already been a year since that day in February 2022 that marked the beginning of the war in Ukraine. This invasion is the latest in an ongoing conflict that has killed thousands of people since 2014 and today it is estimated that there are more than 15 million people in need of humanitarian assistance and protection across the country.
We are active in Ukraine through our partner ChildFund Germany, which has been working in the country since 2004. We immediately took action since March 2022 to provide emergency aid to children and their families during the current crisis and through WeWorld Women's Spaces we are supporting Ukrainian women fleeing the conflict who are seeking refuge in Italy.
But that's not enough: people who need help are increasing day by day; we count on you to help to keep children safe.
